HELLO AND WELCOME

My name is Beata. I offer 1:1 face-to-face counselling and psychotherapy sessions for adults in Oxford. I also facilitate online therapy sessions for those who prefer that option. My services are available in both English and Polish, and I work with individuals seeking both short-term and long-term therapy. If you find yourself in a state of stagnation, sadness, anger, anxiety, or facing other challenges such as a lack of control or diminished self-worth, know that I am here to offer my support.

My task is to work alongside you, creating a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. Together, we will explore what isn't working for you, support you in finding new ways to resolve the difficulties you are facing, and embrace or search for the possibilities that life has to offer.

My view is that we all have the potential to lead fulfilling lives, but we sometimes get stuck along the way. I believe change comes from you having greater awareness of yourself and the choices you want to make.

As a psychotherapist, my primary focus is to provide dedicated attention to you by striking a balance between both supporting and at times challenging you throughout the therapeutic journey whilst also staying open to exploring new and better ways of working together. This includes but is not limited to working with movement or art. During our sessions I might invite you to experiment with doing something differently to help you decide what steps you want to make in your life.

You might have a specific goal in mind, or you may not be entirely sure what you need, but simply desire someone to talk to. Either way, that's perfectly fine.

ABOUT ME

Since 2019, I have immersed myself in the field of psychotherapy and counselling, offering my services privately and making contributions to various charitable organizations in Oxford. Additionally, I've had the opportunity to be a dedicated member of the NHS Foundation Trust Team, working closely with patients in the Women's and Men's psychiatric wards at The Warneford Hospital in Oxford.

In 2010, I completed my MA in Management and Social Communication, specializing in Psychology in Management, at the  Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Currently, I'm in the final stages of a 5-year MSc Gestalt Psychotherapy Programme at the Metanoia Institute in London. As an indication of my commitment to professional growth, I am a registered UKCP trainee member (number 2011183190).

Throughout my professional journey, I have dedicated a significant portion of my career to engaging with individuals in various capacities within the corporate sector. This experience has provided me with deep insights into the unique challenges and pressures inherent in these environments.

In 2013, I relocated to Oxford. Working with awareness of social and cultural contexts is important to me and has grounded my approach ever since.

I am particularly interested in people’s everlasting ability to grow through human connection and healthy relationships as well as in themes of love, belonging and loneliness.
